MM 3.1 Micro-Inequities
In the 1970s, Mary Rowe, a faculty at MIT, introduced us to the term micro-inequities. She defined micro-inequities as negative micromessages that make people feel devalued, slighted, discouraged, or excluded. Micro-inequities create small invisible barriers to women’s equal access to STEM.
