Topic Progress:

The National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) is committed to equity and diversity solutions for educators to help every student fulfill their potential through access to the entire career spectrum. Helping educators understand the nature and impact of micromessages is a crucial component to this effort.

NAPE provides professional development and resources for educators to increase the participation of underrepresented populations  (women, students of color, students with disabilities, and other groups identified as special populations) in high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers. The NAPE Education Foundation believes that if underrepresented populations were prepared to work in STEM and CTE careers in proportion to their current workforce engagement, then labor demands could be met, U.S. global competitiveness would improve, global challenges could be better addressed, and individual’s economic power would increase, leading to stronger families and communities.
