STEM 4.8 Extrinsic Work Values: High Wages

Extrinsic work values can mean job security and high wages, which in turn affect one’s standard of living. Did you know that all jobs directly using STEM skills, including those in health and medicine, represent 70% of the 150 highest paying jobs in the country?

The tables below list 44 STEM examples of some of the highest paying jobs in the country. These estimates are calculated with data collected from employers in all industry sectors in metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas in every state and in the District of Columbia, sourced from the May 2012 National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates for the United States.
